It’s Time to Enforce the EU Deforestation Law
Approximately 95 civil society organizations from across the world took part to create this joint statement to push for the enforcement of the EU Deforestation Law (EUDR) on December 30, 2025, amid the ongoing attempt to weaken the regulation by a number of other stakeholders.
With the upcoming COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil, this moment marks an important warning for the EU that the forests across the globe from Amazon to Southeast Asia are threatened by deforestation, and that EUDR is necessary to uphold in order to protect the forest.
