Field Guide Birdwatching in Selemkai
The book displays the natural potential of the Indigenous Peoples area in the Selemkai district, Tambrauw Regency. This book will help tourists and local tour guides learn about the natural and cultural riches of the Selemkai region.
The diversity of bird species depends on the quality of their habitat. The threat of extinction caused by forest conversion and high levels of human activity is pushing bird habitats in nature. Bird species can increase income for local groups by carrying out tourism activities. An example is birdwatching, which people have been carrying out in various regions in Papua. That way, there is a balance between economics and ecology by preserving bird species in the wild and monitoring them directly at the site.
