Muhammad Sidik

Forest Observer, Community Development, and Advocacy

Muhammad Sidik, nicknamed Sidik, is a member of Kaoem Telapak in Lampung. He’s actively involved in movements related to forest conservation and observation across Lampung.

Sidik collaborates with other organizations such as Leuser Lestari Foundation and Alam Bebas Sangkala. He also advocates for the certification of Verification System for Timber Legalization (SVLK) among small-scale timber industries in Lampung.

In 2016, Sidik and his friends founded the Association of People Industry’s Creative Unit (UKIR) as a stepping stone to raise awareness among the community around the forest concerning the forest sustainability while also empowering their economy via entrepreneurship.
