Ambrosius Ruwindrijarto, known as Ruwi, is a Kaoem Telapak member from DI Yogyakarta as well as the founder of Perkumpulan Telapak. He has been fighting to support the local community in managing the forest sustainably and fairly since 1996.

Ruwi graduated from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at IPB Bogor and is involved in various aspects of environmental advocacy, independent media, community organizing, business development, and entrepreneurship

Ruwi’s relentless and continuous activism for decades brought him a number of international achievements such as Ramon Magsaysay Award (2012) and Skoll Award (2010).
