Kaoem Telapak (KT) is a membership-based civil society organization established in 2016 in Bogor, West Java. KT works alongside farmers, fishers, and indigenous communities across various regions in Indonesia to promote fair and sustainable natural resource management through monitoring, mentoring, policy advocacy, and investigation of forestry and environmental issues.
As an organization focusing on environmental issues, we are committed to practicing the sustainability values we advocate, one of which is by implementing a 100% paperless working system across all operational lines, including financial management.
Therefore, we initiated the Eco-Financial Transformation project, a strategic step to digitalize and integrate the organization’s entire financial management ecosystem end-to-end and in real-time.
This transformation will be realized through the development of two mutually integrated applications: an accounting platform and a web-based (mobile-friendly) expense module, aimed at strengthening accountability, accelerating the reporting process, and maintaining the trust of stakeholders and the organization’s funding partners.
The objective of this consultancy is to build a digital financial ecosystem that is integrated, secure, and tailored to the specific needs of a non-profit organization.
The Consultant will work closely with the Finance Manager as the requirement owner to carry out tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
- Development of a Web-Based Accounting System
- Development of a Web-Based Expense & Approval Module (Responsive/Mobile-Friendly)
- Tax and Legal Compliance
- System and Infrastructure Security
- Financial Data Migration and Management
- Testing, Documentation, and Knowledge Transfer
The Consultant is expected to meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems is preferred.
- Expertise in building secure, scalable, and responsive/mobile-friendly full-stack web applications for financial systems.
- Strong understanding of relational database architecture and distributed storage integration (Cloud Storage & NAS Synology via API/protocol).
- In-depth understanding of financial data security principles and digital law (at-rest/in-transit encryption, Role-Based Access Control, immutable audit logs, Personal Data Protection Law/UU PDP, and Electronic Information and Transactions Law/UU ITE).
- Familiar with the latest Indonesian digital tax system to accommodate taxation features.
- Experience in integrating simple AI functionalities (Anomaly Detection / Natural Language Summary) into web applications.
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and translate operational needs from a non-technical requirement owner (Finance Manager) into technical specifications.
- Experience working in the NGO sector is preferred.
