Erna Rini Susilawati, also called Erna, is a member of Kaoem Telapak from Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta who is actively involved in small-scale finance organizations. She is one of the founders of Wana Lestari Menoleh Union (KWLM), a cooperation that helps improve farmers’ welfare through sustainable natural resource management.

Through the KWLM cooperation that Erna manages with the others, farmers who sell their products such as teak, mahogany, and sengon woods will receive new tree seeds for them to plant again.

Erna hopes that KWLM cooperation may improve the farmers’ welfare sustainably for decades to come.
