Young Generation: The Frontline in Fighting for Justice and Rights of Indigenous Peoples
Bogor, 12 August 2024 – Kaoem Telapak in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora RI) BERKAWAN programme has held a webinar to raise public awareness of Indigenous Peoples issues in Indonesia which was attended by more than 100 participants.
Coinciding with the commemoration of World Indigenous Peoples Day (HIMAS), on 9 August, Kaoem Telapak in this webinar also invited Indigenous Youth as speakers to dig deeper into the role of Indigenous Youth in efforts to protect customary territories and the rights of Indigenous Peoples. Indigenous Youth are at the forefront of fighting for the rights of Indigenous Peoples.
