Kaoem Telapak is currently looking for a passionate and committed Youth Engagement Officer to join our team in Bogor.
As a youth engagement officer, you will be responsible for:
- Actively communicate and dynamize forest monitoring indigenous youth members who have participated in capacity-building activities by Kaoem Telapak
- Assist Campaigners/Senior Campaigners/Campaign Leaders in coordinating with young indigenous forest monitors
- Develop and implement programs that involve and mobilize youth in environmental, social, forestry and Indigenous issues
- Build and maintain relationships with youth organizations and local communities
- Raise awareness of environmental, social, forestry and Indigenous Community issues among youth
- Supporting Kaoem Telapak’s campaigns and advocacy</li
- Perform other tasks related to the Youth Engagement program as requested or assigned by the Campaign Leader
Requirements:
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills in Indonesian and English
- Have a strong interest in environmental, social, forestry, and Indigenous issues
- Have experience in working with youth
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have excellent networking skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with various local, national and international organizations, decision-makers, as well as grassroots and local communities
- Have good writing and presentation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to go on business trips
- Willing to learn and grow
- Under 30 years of age is preferred
