Kaoem Telapak organized Kemping Seru after being delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Kemping Seru is held for three days and two nights, Friday – Sunday, 9 – 11 September 2022.
Kemping Seru is an annual event that reunites all members and executives of the Kaoem Telapak Association. For members who are from outside Bogor, they can participate online.
The Sagafarm was temporarily converted into a camp area.
This year, the event occurred in Sagafarm, Ciampea, Bogor Regency. Sagafarm is an organic farm owned by Putro Santoso Kurniawan, a Kaoem Telapak member. It took an hour and a half from Bogor City to get to Sagafarm via Jalan Aten Sandjaya. From the Aten Sandjaya main road, the road to the location will be even narrower.
The only way access to the Sagafarm is a small road around 1.5 meters broad. Cars entering the road must be careful because the road is narrow. Putro erected the Sagafarm flag on the hut near the basil garden, a sign that allows cars to park there. Next, the participants had to walk down the earthen steps, past fields of basil, kale, and cassava leaves, to get to the camping site.
The initial agenda was an explanation of the activities of the Kaoem Telapak association during the past year. The President of Kaoem Telapak, Mardi Minangsari, and the Vice President of Kaoem Telapak, Wisnu Tirta, delivered this presentation.
After the presentation, the organizer started free time. Some played the guitar and sang. Some just chatted casually.
After the camping
On Sunday, September 11 2022, the members carried out Tabur Kaoem, planting lime seeds in the Sagafarm garden. Tabur Kaoem is a program of Kaoem Telapak which instructs its members to plant trees on the land they own.
There are ten lime tree seedlings planted in the Sagafarm garden. After finishing the planting, the camper participants also took pictures together, indicating that the event was over.
